[edit] Badminton

I am a registered Badminton England coach (level two).

I wrote the Badminton Central grips guide, which is the most popular online article about techniques for holding a badminton racket (popularity based on Google rank, search term "badminton grip"). I am creating a new version of the guide, to correct errors and to improve the quality.

I am interested in improving the quality of the Wiki badminton article, and perhaps extending the scope of the article or creating other, related articles. I am particularly interested in providing information about badminton technique, if this is appropriate for Wiki.

[edit] Writing

I am a (fledgling) professional author.

Why is this relevant? Well, it tells you that I really do write to a professional standard of English. The "Babel box" is not sufficient, because most native English speakers believe they can write to a professional standard, yet almost all are mistaken.

[edit] One self-indulgent rant

Why do people stuff their Wiki user pages with irrelevant information?

Do you really think anyone cares about the dreary details of your life? "I like racial harmony and the colour blue." Great; now all I need is your dental history to complete the story. Is there a userbox for "This user feels that braces empower his or her individuality"?

Although this net-narcissism is harmless on a blog or a Wiki user page, the attitude is carried over to the Wiki pages they write: voluble pages without thought for structure or relevance.
