Mikey Bustos

Mikey Bustos was a Filipino-Canadian singer on the Hit Canadian television show Canadian Idol. He was voted through into the finals in the first group to perform. He was known for his signature blue contact lenses.

Mikey Bustos, 24, has been singing since he was a child. He placed 8th in the Top 11 finals of Canadian Idol Season One in August 2003. Chart Attack Magazine stated, "If we were to lay our bets today, ChartAttack’s money would be on Toronto contestant Mikey Bustos, a slightly strange looking young man with a shaved head and the voice of an angel..."[citation needed]. and the Metro Toronto Newspaper called him "the Sexy, Smoothed-voiced Balladeer".[citation needed]
Mikey recorded two songs with the recording label BMG/Vik Recordings Canada for the Canadian Idol Compilation album.
Although the whole Canadian Idol Top 11 that year were not given the opportunity to tour, it did not stop Mikey from embarking on what became a 4 month solo road tour from Vancouver to Toronto and various places in Ontario and the United States.[citation needed] Mikey has shared the stage with countless artists including the Temptations, Ruben Studdard and Clay Aiken.[citation needed]
Mikey released his debut EP record entitled "Love Me Again" on 7 May 2005 produced by Brent Bodrug of B-Group Music, and featuring writing collaborations with Rob Patterson, Dean McTaggart, and Rebecca Valadez.
