On Friday, June 16, 2006, after demands from listeners for Richard Christy's prank calls to cable public access programs, the Howard Stern Show played the infamous 'Mike Walker fart" clip for the first time.
Christy indicated that he had "found gold" when he isolated the sound of the fart, which apparently was picked up by the microphone permanently set up at Walker's home, and that he would never tire of hearing it. The fart, which at first was integrated into one of Christy's calls, has become legendary among fans as a stand alone clip.
On Thursday, September 28, 2006, during one of his weekly Gossip Game segments on the Howard Stern Show, Mike Walker indicated that the "fart" had not yet made it into Wikipedia.
