Michael "Mike" Utley (b. October 20, 1965 in Seattle, Washington) was an American football player.
He was an offensive lineman with the Detroit Lions, but was forced to retire after becoming paralyzed in November 1991 during a game against the Los Angeles Rams.
He attended John F. Kennedy Memorial HS in Burien, Washington. After high school, he attended Washington State University to play for the Cougars.

Mike earned a scholarship to Washington State University where he played for the Cougars. During his time at WSU they saw their most successful season since 1929 posting a 9-3 record and earned and invitation to the Aloha Bowl witch the WSU Cougars won over the Houston Cougars 24-22. In that game mike was named MVP. He as also named a consensus first team All American. Only the second WSU player to earn that honor.
