Mike Neil

Mike Neil is a software engineer who worked for Apple Computer, Connectix, Pixo, then Connectix again, and now Microsoft (as a result of Microsoft's acquisition of Connectix). He has worked on several noteworthy projects, including Apple Computer's development tools for the Mac OS, an Apple IIGS emulator named Gus, Connectix Virtual PC, and the Pixo OS (now the iPod OS). This is not a complete list.

Mike Neil was the VP of Engineering at Connectix. A biography on the Connectix web site mentioned his role as "lead architect on the Pixo OS that is used in ... the Apple iPod".

Mike Neil is credited in the "About box" of Gus 1.0b4 for implementing "Video Modes & Single-bit Sound".
