Mike Harrison (Canadian musician)

Canadian bassist, born November 1, 1948 in Brampton, Ontario; in October 1966, won the bass guitar audition for Eddie Spencer & The Power (after January 1967, Grant Smith & The Power), a new band forming at the Chez Monique club in Toronto's Yorkville Village.
The band's debut was at Toronto's Club 888 in late October 1966, opening for the Ike and Tina Turner Show. The band soon became one of Toronto's most popular R&B dance bands.
In March, 1967, at Art Snider's Sound Canada studios in Toronto, Harrison recorded his first demo session, and at the same studio in September of that year, his first released recording as a bassist, a cover of Spencer Davis's Keep On Running, on Toronto's Boo label.
Harrison left The Power in October 1968 to join McKenna Mendelson Mainline.
