Mike Bohan

Mike Bohan, or 'The Kindest Man in Radio Land', is the morning sideman for Gerry House on Gerry House and the House Foundation on The Big 98, WSIX-FM in Nashville, Tennessee.
He was born in Nashville, but grew up in Richardson near Dallas, Texas before returning to 'Music City' in 1966. Mike had a passion for broadcasting at a young age and even had his very own radio station (WMIK) right out of his bedroom!
After working for WSM Radio for a while, he found himself at WSMV Television, Nashville's NBC affiliate, where he was the weekend weatherman, movie reviewer and feature reporter.
After leaving Channel Four, Mike replaced Gerry's original sidekick, Paul Randall, on the 'House Foundation' show on June 19, 1995 and these days can be heard reading the weather and introducing the traffic, but mostly debating with Gerry and usually losing.
Gerry House has coined a word after Bohan -- bohanning, used as another term for mooching in reference to Mike's uncanny ability to get a lot for very little, or, for nothing at all.
After working on the House Foundation each morning, Mike goes home to his wife Marian and their five cats, and spends his days catching up on a backlog of TV shows, doing Sudoku puzzles and napping. He is a huge Beatles fan, which earned him the nickname 'The World Famous Walrus' as he worked alongside radio legend, Scott Shannon on 1300/WMAK while he attended Isaac Litton High School in Nashville.
