Midway High School

Midway High School is the only high school in Midway Independent School District of the Waco, Texas area. Although the school is located in southern Waco, most students live in the suburbs of Woodway and Hewitt.

Until 2002, Midway High School was located on Hewitt Drive in Hewitt. The newly constructed building is a few thousand feet away, in the city limits of Waco. The previous high school is now used as Midway Middle School.

Midway is classified as 4A, the state's second biggest size, by the University Interscholastic League for athletic and academic competitions.

Midway's school colors are red, white, and blue and its mascot is the panther.

Pete Rusek was recently elected to the President of the Midway ISD School Board. Newly-appointed schoolboard members include Tom Pagel and Bobby Deaton.
