Midway (Amtrak station)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Midway Station is the Amtrak train station in Saint Paul, Minnesota, so named because it is roughly halfway between the downtowns of St. Paul and neighboring Minneapolis. Its Amtrak station code is MSP. It combined the services of the Saint Paul Union Depot and the Northern Pacific depot in Minneapolis when it opened in the 1970s. The only rail service at this station is the Empire Builder, which stops here for a brief layover. Amtrak's Thruway Motorcoach bus service is available to connect to Duluth, Minnesota (rail service to that city ended in 1985).

As of April 2006, westbound trains to Seattle, Washington and Portland, Oregon are scheduled to arrive at 10:31 p.m. and depart at 11:15 p.m. CST/CDT. Eastbound trains to Chicago arrive at 7:05 a.m. and depart at 7:35 a.m..
