Midnight (1934 film)

Midnight is a 1934 film noir directed by Chester Erskine and starring Sidney Fox, O.P. Heggie, Henry Hull, Margaret Wycherly, and Humphrey Bogart. The film was re-released as Call It Murder after Bogart became a movie star. His credit was enlarged to a guest star status although Bogart was eighth in the cast credits in the original release. The film is now in the public domain and as a result is widely available in the VHS and DVD formats, but most copies of the movie available are of poor quality due to the lack of any profit motive being available to encourage any potential restorer as others would remain free to copy and redistribute any restored version.
