Mid Michigan Community College (MMCC) is a two-year public college founded in 1965. The college has two locations in Harrison, Michigan and Mount Pleasant, Michigan. The majority of the campus is in Harrison on 560 acres of land. It contains the majority of the programs the college offers. The Mt. Pleasant campus consists of a 3 story office building which has been converted in to classrooms and administration for the Isabella County area. The college is best known for its vocational training (especially in nursing) and its partnership with Central Michigan University also located in Mount Pleasant. MMCC serves around 5,000 students annually. "Mid" is a college that keeps its tuition among the least expensive in the state. The college's growth has been impressive and it is expanding its classroom and technical space at a rapid pace. In June 2006 it broke ground on a large science and allied health building in Mount Pleasant.
