MidAmerica Nazarene University is a liberal arts university in Olathe, Kansas, near Kansas City, Missouri. It was founded in 1966 and currently offers undergraduate degrees in 39 majors and graduate degrees in education and business administration. It is affiliated with the Church of the Nazarene. It is accredited by the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and is a member of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities.

MNU was Founded in 1966 and it opened its doors in 1968 with an enrollment of 263. Past presidents include: Dr. R. Curtis Smith, 1966-1985; Dr. Donald Ownes, 1985-1989; Dr. Richard L. Spindle, 1989-2005; and Dr. Ed Robinson, 2005-present.

MNU has men's and women's varsity teams in eight different sports. The teams compete in the Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). Athletic scholarships are available.
