[edit] My response to your comments
- Why do you persistently vandalize the Wikipedia in this manner? Your vandalism has been brought to the attention of the Wikipedia editors, and will not be tolerated. Michaelch7
- I am not vandalizing, I am simply moving links that have very little to do with the articles you post them in. Neither of those sites are affliated with either San Jose State or the CSU system, and thus do not belong on those pages. Since they are mainly promoting the renaming of SJSU, I moved them to the GoState article I created about the renaming campaign. For California State Normal School, it was repeated information you could find in both the CSU and SJSU articles, so it seemed better to just redirect it to one of those pages. I apologize if these changes were not to your preferences. NeoChaosX 05:58, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
Note that what I did is not vandalism, despite what you think the motivation for my edits were; I simply felt that your additions were more relevant in seperate or other articles. I did not meant to offend or anger you through my edits, and I apologize. NeoChaosX 06:56, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] California State Normal School
The article was redirected by Mailer Diablo, who is an administrator, one of the people who can close any AfD. The AfD discussion had people moving for delete, a redirect, and a general consensus that an article about the school should take place at San José State University. Mailer Diablo went with it. Also, NeoChaosX fixed the double-redirect by adding the é in the redirect. Tommorrow I'll try to look at what content can be placed in the university's article. NeoChaosX expressed that a signifigant amount of content was already in the article. I doubt I can include the bit about the naming controversy, however, unless I can find a good citation for it. - Thank you, I appreciate it. I have suggested that the article be reinstated if the duplicate content in the SJSU and CSU article is removed. If you would support that, please make a comment here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Deletion_review/Log/2006_July_26#California_State_Normal_School
Otherwise, I hope you can save the images too. I have also saved a copy of the article with images if you need it. Also, the fact that the school's name was changed by the Alumni Association lobbying without a vote of students or all alumni is a historical fact: "In 1972, Association members successfully lobbied to change the official name of the institution from "California State University, San José" to the current "San José State University." See http://www.sjsu.edu/alumni/about/history/ . The change took effect in 1974. Michaelch7
