[edit] Died Alone?

How do you know this? his family could have been in the house all along and he could have just been sitting outside, enjoying the nice weather, how do we know he died all alone?

[edit] Death?

He retired to Sicily and died there in 1997.

How did you know that? The story of the Godfather Part III had taken place in 1979. Where did you get this information? -- Toytoy 10:21, Jun 11, 2005 (UTC)

According to: IMDB (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0099674/trivia):
The year of Michael's death is never mentioned, but an insider of Zoetrope Studios said that it was around 1997.
Although the year Michael Corleone dies is never mentioned, the DVD's "Family Tree" feature confirms Michael died peacefully in 1997.
I think this "fact" is usable. -- Toytoy 12:17, Jun 11, 2005 (UTC)

Our Carlo Gambino article says that Michael was, at least in part, based on Gambino. Is this worth mentioning here? john k 07:44, 30 August 2005 (UTC)

Pardon the intrusion, but I believe a spoiler warning may be useful in this article (and, I suspect, in the other articles of the Corleone Family). Although I was already acquainted with the plot, had I not seen the film prior it would have been a regretful read. --R

The actual chapter of Michael's passing is named "The Death of Michael Corleone", so anyone can read it and find out that he does indeed die in the film.
