Mick Mines

Mick Mines (b. 1950) is a Nebraska state senator from Blair, Nebraska in the Nebraska Legislature and Vice President of External Relations for HunTel Systems Inc.

He was born on June 21, 1950, in Fremont, Nebraska and graduated from North Bend High School and Elkins Institute in Dallas, Texas. He was in the U.S. Naval Reserve Corp and held many positions in Blair including mayor. He has won the Blair YMCA Volunteer of the Year Award[citation needed], Nebraska Diplomat of the Year Award, Cargill Dow Friend of Industry Award and the Metropolitan Area Planning Association Citizenship Award.

He was elected in 2002 to represent the 18th Nebraska legislative district. He currently sits on the Government, Military and Veterans Affairs committee and chairs the Banking, Commerce and Insurance committee.
