Mick Hubert

Mick Hubert (born in St. Anne, Illinois) is the radio play-by-play announcer of Florida Gators athletic teams at the University of Florida. He covers football, basketball, baseball, and other sports occasionally. Mick has worked for UF since 1989.

On football broadcasts, he works with Lee McGriff (color analyst) and Steve Babik (field reporter). For basketball games, he calls the action alongside Mark Wise.

Mick is one of the most enthusiastic announcers around, and he spreads his enthusiasm for the Gators across all sports that he covers. Mick had the honor of calling the Gators' 1996 football national championship win over the Florida State Seminoles as well as the 2006 men's basketball championship in the NCAA tournament against UCLA.

Mick Hubert did the play-by-play of NCAA tournament games for ESPN 1986-1990. He is one of Dick Vitale's Sweet 16 play-by-play announcers.

Mick graduated from Illinois State University in 1976. Prior to joining the Gator Radio Network, he worked as the sports director at WHIO-TV in Dayton, Ohio for 10 years.
