Mick Green (born Michael Greenbaum) is an English rock and roll guitarist.
He began his career playing with Johnny Kidd and the Pirates in the early 1960s, then joined Billy J. Kramer and the Dakotas in 1964. His playing with The Pirates influenced a number of British guitarists to follow, including Pete Townshend and most notably Wilko Johnson, original guitarist of mid 70s live favourites, Dr.Feelgood.
Green reformed The Pirates in the mid-1970s (Kid had died in 1966). In the 1980s and 1990s Green has played with, amongst others, Bryan Ferry, Paul McCartney, Peter Green (formerly of Fleetwood Mac), as well as participating in reunions of The Pirates.
Among other things, in his spare time he now teaches guitar at various places, such as Ilford County High School in Barkingside, London.
