Michelle Malone

Michelle Malone (born in Atlanta, Georgia) is an American folk-rock singer/songwriter. While attending Agnes Scott College, she met Amy Ray (with whom she would later become romantically involved) and Emily Saliers of the Indigo Girls, and soon left school to pursue a musical career. She released her solo album, New Experience, in 1988, then formed the band Drag the River and released Relentless with them in 1990. She formed another band, Band de Soleil, in 1994, and recorded one album with them, Redemption Dream. Since then, she has performed as a soloist.
