Michelle Gomez (born April 21, 1971 in Glasgow, Scotland) is a Scottish actress. She trained at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. In 2000 she married actor Jack Davenport.
Her father, originally from Montserrat, was a photographer, whilst her mother ran a modeling agency. From the moment they took a seven year-old Michelle to a production of Kiss Me Kate, Gomez became set on becoming an actress. This is an ambition her parents have always encouraged.

She went on to star in cult Channel 4 comedy drama The Book Group before landing her role as madcap staff liaison officer, Sue White in both Series 1 and 2 of the innovative comedy Green Wing, also on Channel 4. She also plays Michelle in Carrie and Barry.
Gomez will next be seen in the movie Chromophobia, starring alongside Penélope Cruz, and has recently starred as PC Sally Bobbins in the BBC 2 sitcom Feel the Force.
