Michele Jaffe

Michele Jaffe is the author of several adult novels including the thrillers Bad Girl and Loverboy. After getting her Ph.D. in comparative literature from Harvard she retired from academia and decided to become an FBI special agent or glamorous showgirl, but somehow ended up writing. A native of Los Angeles, California, Michele lives in Las Vegas with her husband, her disco ball, and her zebra wall-to-wall carpeting.

Notably friends with bestselling YA author Meg Cabot, who she frequently blogs advice columns with on Cabot's website. In February 2006, Bad Kitty was named Book of the Month in the Meg Cabot Book Club.

When asked why two of her books had similar titles: "I titled the manuscript Bad Kitty because, like Bad Girl, it was about a female detective who did forensics in Las Vegas. When Bad Kitty sold as a book, I figured people would want to change the title but it stuck. My BAD series."
