[edit] Career

Michel played in the National Hockey League from 1970 to 1982. During this time, he played for the Montreal Canadiens, St. Louis Blues, Kansas City Scouts, Pittsburgh Penguins, Colorado Rockies, and Quebec Nordiques. Michel would win one Stanley Cup with Montreal in 1973. Michel was also the first overall draft pick in the 1968 NHL Amateur Draft.

Prior to his NHL debut, Plasse was a goaltender for the Kansas City Blues of the CHL. On February 21, 1971, the Oklahoma City Blazers were trailing the Blues 2-1 and decided to pull their goaltender. Plasse scored on the open net and became the first professional goalie in the history of the game to score a goal.
