Michael Twiss (born December 26, 1977 in Salford) is an English footballer. His position is as a midfielder.
Twiss began his career as a trainee at Manchester United but failed to make the grade at the club and, after being loaned out to Sheffield United, he was released. He was then snapped up by Port Vale on a free. However, he failed to make a big impact on the club and after twenty-four appearances he was sold to then Conference club Leigh RMI in 2001.
There, Twiss found himself at a more comfortable level and had a successful season at the club, before being signed by Chester City a year later.
He scored the SKY Conference 'Goal of the Season' during his spell at Chester City.
On May 4, 2004 he was signed by Morecambe. He was an instant success at the club, hitting twenty-two league goals in his first season at Christie Park, where he currently remains.
