Michael Stahlschmidt (born December 4, 1969 in Evanston, Illinois), is one of America's top sports and advertising photographers.^{[citation needed]}

Stahlschmidt is most famous for his work with the late 1990s Got Milk? campaign, as well as with the White House's "Smoke Free Kids" program from 1996-2000. Stahlschmidt was the sole photographer behind "Smoke Free Kids" campaign, working at the selection of Clinton Administration Secretary of Health and Human Services Secretary Donna Shalala in a campaign which featured famous athletes from all over the world appealing to teens to forgo smoking.^{[citation needed]}

Stahlschmidt worked as a member of the White House Press Corp from 1996-2000, covering the majority of sports teams that came to the White House during the second term of the Clinton Administration as well as providing imagery to Time-Life Pictures, one of the worlds largest photo agencies.^{[citation needed]}

Besides advertising and White House Press Corp work, Stahlschmidt is famous for his work the sports of soccer and motorsports, but has worked in the NBA, NFL, the PGA and many other sports.^{[citation needed]} His regularly works with the US National Soccer Teams and for countless race teams in Formula One, IRL, Champ Car and many other series.^{[citation needed]} His work has appeared in Sports Illustrated, Newsweek, USA Today, in calendars, on credit cards, in video games and on multiple Wheaties cereal boxes.^{[citation needed]}

Stahlschmidt currently works as the personal photographer to soccer star Mia Hamm, as well as to race car driverRandy Pobst.^{[citation needed]} Over his career he has photographed the likes of President Clinton, Al Gore, Vince Vaughn, Michael Jordan, Michael Schumacher, Claudia Schiffer, Ronaldo, Zinedine Zidane and many other famous personalities all over the world.^{[citation needed]}

Stahlschmidt has won international praise and recognition for having multiple photos touring on the Kodak World Press Photo Exhibit and he won the "Best Photo of the Olympiad" at the 1996 Atlanta games with a photo of Mia Hamm.^{[citation needed]}

Stahlschmidt graduated from the University of Portland in Oregon in 1993 and is a 1988 graduate of Lake Forest High School, IL, where he was a classmate of actor Vince Vaughn and famous sports agent Rob Pelinka (who represents Kobe Bryant and many more).^{[citation needed]} Stahlschmidt is single and lives seasonally in Mundelein, Illinois and Portland, Oregon.
