Michael Sams was a one legged english rapist, kidnapper and extortionist murderer who kidnapped Julie Dart and Stephanie Slater.[1][2] Since going to jail he has continued to offend, he attacked a female probation officer.[3] In addition he has won £4000 damages when the prison service lost his artificial limb when moving him from one prison to another. It is thought by some that he might be responsible for the death of Suzy Lamplugh.

He also attempted to sue Stephanie Slater for libel claiming that he never raped her. He has also brought a civil case because he thinks that his prison bed is too hard.[4][5]
