Michael ("Mike") Rupp (born on January 13, 1980 in Cleveland, Ohio) is a professional ice hockey player. He was drafted by the New York Islanders in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft. He was the chosen 9th overall in the 1st round. He has played on the Columbus Blue Jackets and Phoenix Coyotes. He won a Stanley Cup in 2003 with the New Jersey Devils, scoring the Cup clinching goal. Columbus declined to submit Rupp (a restricted free agent) a qualifying offer in June of 2006. On July 1, 2006, his status changed to unrestricted. Rupp signed a 1 year, $450,000 contract to return to the Devils.
