Michael Quinn Sullivan

Michael Quinn Sullivan is Vice President of the Texas Public Policy Foundation, a non-profit research institute based in Austin, Texas.

A graduate of Texas A&M University, Michael began his career as a reporter for two daily Texas newspapers (the Denison Herald and the Brazosport Facts) and a monthly magazine (Texas Republic) before leaving journalism to serve as press secretary for congressional candidate Ron Paul, MD. After the successful election, he moved to Washington, DC, to serve in the congressman's Capitol office.

Michael left government service when he joined the staff of the Media Research Center, as Director of Communications for the Conservative Communications Center and the Cybercast News Service. There, he developed and refined communications training programs while overseeing the organization's public relations activities.

He arrived at the Texas Public Policy Foundation in 2001 as director of media and government relations.

An accomplished columnist, Michael's commentaries have appeared in such publications as the Houston Chronicle, the Dallas Morning News, the New Hampshire Union Leader, the Augusta Chronicle, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the Raleigh (NC) News & Observer, the Richmond Times-Dispatch, DoubleThink magazine and others, as well as being carried by the Scripps Howard News Service.

A frequent guest on talk radio programs, Michael is regularly called upon to address policy and political issues before groups and organizations.

Michael, his wife and three children reside in Austin, Texas.
