Michael McKay

Michael McKay (b. May 10, 1963) is a former Canadian astronaut. He was selected as a payload specialist for the Canadian Astronaut Program in June of 1992.

In November of 1994, McKay resigned his position due to medical reasons. During his two-year term as an astronaut, McKay never undertook any actual space flight missions. He continued to work as an engineer for the Canadian Space Agency until 1997, when he returned to active military duty as an employee of the National Defense Headquarters.
