Michael McDowell (driver)

Michael McDowell (born December 21, 1984 in Phoenix) is an American racing driver. He won the 2004 Star Mazda championship, leading to a potential open-wheel career. He made two Champ Car starts for Rocketsports Racing at the end of 2005 but was not retained for the following season. He has competed in Grand-Am for two seasons and now seems destined for NASCAR, having also run in a couple ARCA events.
