[edit] About Michael
Michael was the youngest child of Philip and Loretta Martin and the younger brother of Debbie. In 1985 his parents began having marital difficulties. After Loretta's death in a car crash Phillip subsequently married Julie, and they had a daughter together, Hannah. Michael found these changes and the new marriage hard to accept and generally blamed Julie.
Michael returned to Erinsborough in 1992 not long after his family had resettled there. He caused a great deal of trouble, even going as far to poision Julie. After risking his life to save Debbie from being dragged into Darren Stark's criminal world he turned over a new leaf, something Julie and Hannah found hard to believe at first. Michael had relationships with a few girls who lived on Ramsay Street, first Cody Willis who later dumped him for Rick Alessi, and then Danni Stark. After Julie's death and after breaking up with Danni, Michael went to trade school.
Michael returned several times after that, most notably in 1997 when Helen Daniels, his Step-Great-Grandmother died, and in 1998 for Phillip's wedding to physio therapist, Ruth Wilkinson.
