Michael Scott Horton is Professor of Theology and Apologetics at Westminster Seminary California and is heard regularly as host of The White Horse Inn radio program. He was formerly the president of the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals, a society in the Reformation Tradition which "exists to call the twenty-first century church to a reformation that recovers clarity and conviction about the great evangelical truths of the gospel and that then seeks to proclaim these truths powerfully in our contemporary context."

Horton received an M.A. from Westminster Seminary California, a Ph.D. from Wycliffe Hall, Oxford and Coventry University, and completed a Research Fellowship at Yale Divinity School. He was ordained a deacon in the Reformed Episcopal Church and is currently a minister in the United Reformed Churches in North America in which denomination he has served two churches in southern California.

Horton is the editor-in-chief of the Modern Reformation magazine and has written and edited more than fifteen books and a number of academic articles, including:
