Michael Henrich (b. March 3, 1980 in Thornhill, Ontario) is a professional ice hockey player, who spent several years playing North American professional hockey before moving to Europe.

Drafted thirteenth overall in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft by the Edmonton Oilers, Henrich was highly touted as a junior player out of the Ontario Hockey League, and the Oilers passed up on future stars such as Robyn Regehr and Simon Gagne to select Henrich. However, Henrich was an immediate disappointment as a professional player, and became the only first-round selection from the 1998 draft to never play a National Hockey League game. After 219 games in the American Hockey League, Henrich's contract was not renewed by the Oilers, and he left for the European leagues.

Henrich was just one of a variety of poor high-end draft choices in this period. In a six-year period from 1994 to 1999, the Oilers selected Jason Bonsignore, Steve Kelly, Boyd Devereaux, Michel Riesen, Henrich, and Jani Rita with high first-round draft choices. While Kelly, Devereaux, and Rita have become serviceable NHLers outside the Oilers system, all of these players are widely considered busts.
