Michael Gregory

Also for Michael Gregory V.A. Michael Gregory, born 1982, is a British man who was found guilty, along with three others, for his part in the New Year Murders.

Gregory, a member of the Burger Bar Boys, was jailed for life for the slayings of Letisha Shakespeare and Charlene Ellis who were shot outside a hair salon in Aston on 2 January 2003.

Gregory, along with Rodrigo Simms, Marcus Ellis, and Nathan Martin, was sentenced to life imprisonment at Leicester Crown Court in March 2005. The judge recommended that he should spend at least 35 years in prison before even being considered for parole, a ruling which would keep him behind bars until at least 2039 and at the age of 57.

He was also convicted of the attempted murders of Sophie Ellis and Cheryl Shaw, for which he was sentenced to 24 years, to run concurrently with his life sentence.
