Michael Essany

Michael Essany (born October 22, 1982 in Valparaiso, Indiana) is an American comedian and talk show host.
Essany has hosted The Michael Essany Show on local, national and international television for seven years. He is best remembered for two seasons on E! Entertainment television as host of his self-titled reality/talk series, executive produced by Leeza Gibbons.
A 2005 graduate of Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Indiana, Essany has a degree in political science. Essany is a featured columnist in The Times of Northwest Indiana.
There has been speculation in the local media that Essany may run for mayor of Valparaiso in 2007. According to online polling at www.nwitimes.com, Essany is the leading candidate among voters who contributed to the survey.
Michael Essany was featured on the ballot in Porter Country, Indiana as the Democratic Nominee for Trustee on November 7th, 2006. He lost by a small margin.
