Michael Crafter is an Australian musician best known for being part of I Killed the Prom Queen. After being kicked out of I Killed the Prom Queen for not being metal enough, he attempted to start a hardcore band named Aversion or Ascension.[citation needed] This attempt failed and with the departure of Carpathian guitarist Anth, Crafter now does vocals for Carpathian, with vocalist Marty stepping down to fill Anth's place as guitarist.[1] A well known participant in the Australian hardcore scene, Crafter runs an online zine, "Broken Glass Online".

Michael was recently described as having an "undeniable magnetism" in prominent Australian alternative magazine Blunt, and is credited with having started the euro vegan-metal movement within Australia.[citation needed]
