Micromasters are a type of Transformer introduced late in the Generation One line. These were small Transformers, usually sold in packs of 4 or 6 in the USA, or as companions to larger Transformers in Japan. They seemed to be a direct answer to the popularity of the Micro-Machines toy line.

Although Micromasters never appeared in the US Transformers television series, they did appear in the Marvel comics and in the Japanese television series.

Micromasters were also released in the Transformers: Universe toy line, mostly combiners which never appeared in the US.
