[edit] Trivia
This is the first film by Paramount Pictures and 20th Century Fox to be released by Fox in the US and Paramount internationally, whereas 1995's Braveheart and 1997's Titanic were released by Paramount in the US and Fox internationally.
The title, despite the setting and plot, could be a joke about spinoffs of crime shows that take place in a new area to attract fans and new viewers. (ex: CSI)
