Mhair Dekmezian was a candidate for the Texas Legislature election, 2006.

Dekmezian ran as the Libertarian cadidate in Texas House district 134 against Martha Wong and Ellen Cohen After attending St. John's School in Houston, he is currently attending Rice University as a Junior. Dekmezian supported libertarian view points and believed that both Wong and Cohen were not good candidates for his particular district as they did not accurately represent the citizens of this district. Dekmezian received 1,011 votes, or 2.19% of the total.[1]
