Simplified diagram of a 4-6-6-4 locomotive with Meyer-style articulation.

Color key:
Blue: Cab
Red: Boiler
Brown: Smokebox
Gray: Wheels (driving wheels are larger)
Black: Wheel framework

The lower diagram shows how the various wheels move when the locomotive enters a curve. No wheels are rigidly attached to the boiler.

As far as I know, no 4-6-6-4 was ever built with Meyer articulation.
