The Ventura County line currently serves 12 stations:

Metrolink trains on this line run weekdays only, mostly during peak commuter hours, with limited mid-day service. Service on this line is augmented during the mid-day and on weekdends with Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner, serving most of the Metrolink stations on the line. As of July 2004, a total of 10 Metrolink trains operate on this route each way each weekday.
On January 26, 2005, a Ventura County Line train was involved in the Glendale train crash in which eleven people were killed. It was the deadliest accident in Metrolink history [2].
