Metal Gear Solid Original Game Soundtrack is a soundtrack album of video game music from the stealth-based game Metal Gear Solid, produced by Konami for the PlayStation video game console. The album contains the musical tracks from the game, composed and performed by the KCE Japan Sound Team. "Metal Gear Solid Main Theme" is composed by TAPPY and "End Title / The Best Is Yet To Come" is performed by Aoife Ní Fhearraigh and Rika Muranaka. It was released on September 23, 1998 by King Records, bearing the catalog number KICA-7895. Another release on pirate label MIYA Records was released shortly after, with number MICA-0391. Due to the rarity of the Konami release and the quality (and relatively low price) of the pirate version, the MIYA Records release has become the most commonplace amongst the fanbase.
