Talk:Meru, Kenya
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Dear Editor:
Thank you for your careful (and fast, I must say) protection of the copyright, etc., on the text I just added for Meru, Kenya.
In this case, however, I am the sole author of the similar article on Meru on the RCBOWEN website. If necessary, this can be confirmed with Rich Bowen. I first wrote the article for Meru a fair amount of time ago, and just today (7/14/04) tried to edit the article to what I have just posted here in wikipedia, but I do not know at this moment whether my edits on the RCBOWEN website went through. I served as a volunteer teacher in Meru through a missionary program in the late 60's/early 70's, I love Meru and Kenya, and I really hope you will allow the text to go forward.
You may contact me at karlrichard@hotmail.com.
Sincerely,
Karl
(P.S. If you need my full name and more detailed contact information, I would be glad to provide it, but to maintain my public confidentiality on the RCBOWEN site's talkpage, I would prefer to do that privately if it would be allowable.)

The Meru article is quite good, but it is just not possible (and neither permissible) to write about Meru agriculture without mentioning the most important (and most lucrative) cash crop, namely Miraa. I suggest that this be added.
