Merve Taskan, Turkish (born December 21, 1979) is a Turkish born, American film and Theatre director.

Born Merve Taşkan in İstanbul in 1979 to Turkish parents, Merve attended New School University's Actors Studio Drama School. Taskan's theater credits included directing Little Foxes (2003) and Lysistrata (2005), written by Lillian Hellman and Aristophanes respecively, and One for the Road (2005) and Sisters, (2006) and Lady of Fadima (2006), written by Harold Pinter, Cherie Vogelstein, and Edward Allan Baker respectively.

Taskan is one of the youngest members ever to be invited into The Actors Studio, a membership organization for professional actors located in the Old Labor Stage at 432 West 44th Street in New York City. Founded in 1947 by Elia Kazan, who is also a native of Istanbul, Turkey.
