Merila Zarei (Persian: مريلا زارعي‎ ​) is an award-winning Iranian actress. She was born on 14 April 1974 in Tehran.

Merila Zarei was on 14 April 1974 in Tehran. She has a younger sister, Melika Zarei, who is also an iranian actress . After graduating from school in 1992 she started studying medicine at the Tehran Azad University. During her studies she got intressted in acting through Ezatollah Entezami´s acting courses at the university. Her first movie was Patok by Ali Asghar Shadravan in 1994. After that she tried very hard till and played in many diffrent movies very well. Finally she got the crystal Simorgh for the best actress in a supporting role for her movie "The Friday's Soldiers" by Masoud Kimiayie, from the 22nd Fajr International Film Festival.
