Merenrap

Merenrap, or meren-rap, is a style of hip hop music which was formed from the fusion of Dominican merengue music with rapping. The song credited with giving birth to the genre was "Soy Chiquito (No Inventes Papito, No Inventes)", recorded by Santi Y Sus Duendes and Lisa M in 1990. Other artists include Proyecto Uno. Enamorame by Papi Sanchez was a big hit.
