Mercury Brewing Company is an American brewery located in Ipswich, Essex County, Massachusetts.
MBC was formed in 1999 when Rob Martin took over the Ipswich Brewing Company. The name is derived from the Roman messenger god, Mercury.
MBC brews a large stable of micro-beers under four brands, as well as house brews for restaurants and bars around the North Shore area of Massachusetts. The brand groups include Ipswich Ale; Stone Cat; Eagle Brook Saloon; and Farmington River.
