The M110 engine family is a dohc straight-6 automobile engine made by Mercedes-Benz in the 1970s and 1980s.

The M110.923 was a 2.8 L (2746 cc) engine with an 86 mm bore and 78.8 mm stroke. Power output was 156 hp (116 kW).

The M110.984 version was also 2.8 L (2746 cc). Power output was up to 177 hp (132 kW).

The M110.988 was the final 2.8 L (2746 cc) member of the family. The Injecting-Plant used in this engine is a KE-Jetronic from Bosch or CIS-E (Continuous Injection System - Electronic). Although meant for fuel efficiency, the usage of electronic injection raised the power output to 185 hp(horsepower) (138kW(kilowatt)) at 5800 rpm. Torque output was 240 Nm at 4500 rpm. It had a bore of 86 mm and a stroke of 78.8 mm. The compression ratio was 9.0:1 with redline reaching up to 6600 rpm. First torques is 40 Nm, next time 70 Nm and after 10 minutes waiting they have to turn up to 110 Nm. Amount of Refrigerant in the radiator is 11 litres. Amount of oil in engine is 6 litres. Fuel octance needed is Super (DIN51600). Fuel consumption is rated 12.5 Litres per 100 km(kilometres), equals to 8 km/L, also equals to 18.80592575 mpg. The M110 is capable of running up to top speed of 210 km/h. This engine was found in W114, W123 (E-Class),W126 S-Class, R107 and G460 Series. M110 was replaced by M103 in 1986.
