Merana is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Alessandria in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 80 km southeast of Turin and about 50 km southwest of Alessandria. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 181 and an area of 9.3 km2.[1]
Merana borders the following municipalities: Piana Crixia, Serole, and Spigno Monferrato.
