From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I am 58 years old, I live in the North East of England, I am director of my own company.

Back in the 1980s I was National Information Officer for the UK Government's Microelectronics Education Programme. I intend to write up some of the history of that initiative as I am sure many will find it fascinating. I believe it is an important part of the history of computers in schools which very few people seem to know about.

I am learning how to use Wikipedia, so forgive me if I put things in the wrong place to start with - but I will get the hang of it eventually.

I have plenty to say as computers have had such an impact on us globally that we must not forget just how we got here.
