Menomaru is a fictional character from the InuYasha anime appearing as the main villain of the first movie InuYasha the Movie: Affections Touching Across Time.
Menomaru is a moth-youkai and the son of Hyoga. During the battle with InuYasha's father he was sealed away for two hundred years until a shard of the Shikon no Tama set him free. He then sought to free his father's power. He tricked InuYasha into using his Kaze no Kizu to break the seal therefore allowing Menomaru to absorb his father's power. Using The Tree of Ages, a tree that was related to the Bone Eaters Well, he sent his moths to collect the souls of every living thing in the area, even his own henchman who were defeated by Miroku and Sango. Once done, he became a giant with moths wings where demons sprang from them to destroy every living thing in the world. Yet, Kagome shot her sacred arrow at his forehead along with InuYasha's Backlash Wave.
