Menemeni

Menemeni (Μενεμένη) is a municipality in the Thessaloniki Prefecture, Greece. Population 14,910 (2001). It was founded by Anatolian Greeks exchanged in the frame of the 1923 agreement for the Exchange of Greek and Turkish Populations and its name is a reference to the town of Menemen, near İzmir in Turkey.
